Job Description:
1. The Storefront Lead Associate is responsible for the oversight and management of the retail processes and daily operation of the bookstore’s front retail showroom.
2. The right candidate would be outgoing and willing to do what it takes to make sure the atmosphere of the store is pleasant for each guest shopping. They would have a creative mind to help with ideas to maintain beautiful window and floor displays. The person would also be eager to work as a team with the rest of the staff and management.
3. Specific duties and responsibilities will vary from day to day but will always include making sure the storefront is ready to serve each customer who comes into the store and those who call over the phone. We would expect the following to be things the applicant has experience in:
· Daily operations: supports daily operating processes such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining store standards, and restocking products.
· Customer Service: leads by example in upholding a service culture that demonstrates extraordinary service to cultivate an environment where all customers feel welcomed.
· Answering Phones: taking orders via phone and doing customer follow-ups
· Retail Display Coordinator: to include seasonal window displays as well as weekly changing of interior displays to keep merchandise updated frequently in coordination with Purchasing Manager, Sales Team, and the Director.
· Coordinate merchandise purchases with the Purchasing Manager: includes someone who is up to date with the latest retail merchandise and needs that are relayed from customers and market research.
· Create and lead content management on all social media platforms.
· Coordinator of local events such as: Book Signings, Summer Reading programs, Holiday Events, and more.
· Good communicator: Contributes to an inclusive work environment by actively listening to others and seeking different perspectives.
· Other duties related to the job as assigned.
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (half day off when Sat shift scheduled)
Saturday (TBD/approx. 2 per month or as needed for special events, currently 10am-2pm)
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience
