Retail Sales Associate

Sales Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers in a friendly and helpful manner. They should be knowledgeable about books and other merchandise in the store, proactively seek to assist customers and provide an outstanding shopping experience.

Our ideal candidate has a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills, along with the ability to :

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, communicating and assisting customers with questions, orders, and efficient cashiering
• Recover the sales floor during each shift, including, but not limited to picking up items, stocking books and products, straightening bookshelves and tables, and other housekeeping tasks as needed
• Quickly and efficiently evaluate incoming trade-in books while demonstrating organizational and multitasking skills
• Maintain the retail area’s cleanliness, providing a clean workplace which includes dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and assisting in the general maintenance of the building, inside and out
• Work well with a team of co-workers

Requirements

• Must be available to work 3-5 days a week every Thursday - Sunday from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (days and times may vary weekly)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Be available for permanent, year round employment
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Must be able to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to handle cash and basic math skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
