Rainy Day Books has been a pioneer in Author Events for nearly three decades, setting the industry standard. Today, we aim to build upon that legacy by bringing the brightest minds, funniest storytellers, and most thought-provoking narrators to Kansas City.
We are hiring a new Events Manager to lead and manage this vital part of our business, overseeing our incredible Author Events throughout the year. This dynamic position encompasses everything from planning to execution. The Events Manager will build relationships with authors, publishers, customers, and community partners.
We seek an experienced event planner with outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, meticulous follow-through, and a passion for hosting events.Book industry experience is highly preferred.
Event Manager Annual Salary Range: $44,000-$64,000
