Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bookshop and retail space, including editions and merchandise.
- Curate the selection of books, merchandise, and editions in collaboration with ICA’s programming teams, ensuring alignment with exhibitions, events, and the ICA’s mission.
- Oversee stock management, ordering, pricing, and product displays.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from retail offerings.
- Collaborate with artists and creators to develop exclusive ICA merchandise and (editions).
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning and Engagement to coordinate book launches and talks in relation to liaising with publishers, audience engagement strategy, and income generation targets
- Supervise and train retail staff, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Manage online retail platforms, ensuring smooth sales and fulfilment processes.
- Prepare and analyse sales reports, set targets, and monitor performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and revenue growth.
- Work closely with the Finance team for reconciliation and stock management.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in retail management, including merchandising, stock control, and customer service.
- Experience with retail software (e.g., Booksolve, Shopify, Spektrix) and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of contemporary art and culture is desirable.
