Primary Description:

We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Customer Service Retail Associate. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them in finding products that align with their needs and beliefs, and upholding the values and principles of our Christian bookstore.

Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time, Hourly (15-20/week) every weekend

Location: Longwood, FL campus

Responsibilities:

· Greet and assist customers in a courteous and helpful manner, providing personalized recommendations based on their interests and preferences.

· Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

· Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving, displays, and merchandise presentation.

· Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking shelves as needed.

· Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and empathy.

· Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new products, promotions, and store policies.

Educational and Professional Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.

· Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable.

· Knowledge of Christian literature, resources, and products is a plus.

· Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. ● Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Mercy Road Christian Store.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Work Location: In person
