Like to read books? Like to talk about books? The Rockland branch of Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop has an opening for a full-time or part-time year-round bookseller position. Must be available to work at least one weekend day.

As a bookseller, you would be responsible for:

• Helping customers find and order books and merchandise
• Receiving and shelving books
• Cashiering
• Regularly restocking, organizing, and maintaining displays and bookshelves
• Cleaning
• Transferring products between various branches of Sherman's

The ideal applicant must be able to:

• Provide impeccable customer service
• Use computers comfortably
• Be on their feet all day
• Climb ladders
• Lift heavy boxes (40+ lbs)

This is a fast-paced retail environment that requires excellent multitasking skills and a sense of humor. Previous retail experience and computer proficiency preferred. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and reliable.
